  •  the 16,000 unopened letters was a stunning (5+ / 0-)

revelation, in the past they admitted to  some offices having 95 and 106  documents in the shredding room  but nothing to indicate they had thousands of unprocessed documents

given the fact they are 800,000 claims backlogged  some of these VA Regional office employees should be terminated   instead they promoted the Cleveland Office Manager  the Colummbia SC Regional office is one of the worst in hte nation of course that is the office handling my claim  maybe that is why I am in my 7th year of appeals

    •  Terminate them (0+ / 0-)

And hire a bunch of green people and I bet the problem would be six times worse.

      •  Only if they're trained by the dimwits (0+ / 0-)

        who caused this problem.

Green people in THIS economy should have incentive to work harder and better in order to keep their jobs.

What we don't know keeps the contracts alive and movin. They don't gotta burn the books, they just remove em while arms warehouses fill as quick as the cells.

Hire some former Military and or Veteran folks, that can actually understand military medicine
        and military records.

That plus quit using hte performance satndard of grading employee's on how many cases they process
and instead grade them on how many claims they process that DON'T get appealed and over turned.

The number one concern for the VA leadership should be the number of claims initially denied, then appealed and upheld.

I believe right now, the number is about 40%, that is a LOT of unjustified denials of valid claims.
A lot of those are simply driven by incompetence and the Bureaucracy of just shuffling claims thru.

Bipartisanship: Def; Republicans that give the middle finger to everyone else on a daily basis.
