        Classic marketing tactic from the IBM school.

        Generally employed against competitors or innovators where F.U.D. about proposed changes or concepts can be raised by retorical questions or implications. Plays off basic human fear of the unknown and resistance to change.

        IBM Salesman: "Sounds interesting. Will it really work? Perhaps you should consider our proven solutions, I can get you information."

        Goggle it, I'm sure you can find something elaborating the use of this tactic.
