The threat of this move might be enough to get some Rethugs to compromise, as they will have some say in a compromise, but nothing if the plan is attached to the budget bill.

And therein lies another perk for the GOP of continuing the joke of a legal challenge in Minn. keeping Coleman's DOA case on life support.

You also get pissed off thinking about the Georgia do-over election the Dems completely took the day off on... with this type of stuff as a result.

And of course, 'Call me, Harold!'

Lovely lovely memories.  So great for the country, too!

A budget bill needs merely a majority, which right now is 49 seats (with Kennedy and Franken out).  A regular bill needs 60.  Repubs blocking Franken isn't going to prevent the budget bill from passing, and if the Repubs obstruct on health care, it will be attached to the budget.

I'm sure that Obama will give that hint to the Repub moderates, that if they don't cooperate on energy and health care, then he will push it through the budget process and shut their voices out.

The Rethug Party are anti-American traitors. The Congressional Rethugs form a fifth column intent on destruction of America.
