this is a primary, we're all friends here. I'm working for Brian Moran and all for getting Terry Mc's record out there but Lowell's a friend and we shouldn't be getting out of hand.

I'm just speaking on my own behalf.

      •  Thanks Nate, but sadly (0+ / 0-)

...this is often par for the course in the blogosphere we know and love so much. :)

There are people who fought last year's primary as though there were fighting the Nazi Party--crazy wildly excessive stuff.  No excuse for those kinds of attacks among Democrats.

Some folks in Virginia permanently damaged their reputations over this stuff.  I just don't see enough difference between Brian, Terry and Creigh to be willing to knife a friend or ally over it.  Sorry.

(yeah, I'm playing with the capitalization of your new nickname)

You wrote a book on the netroots. The netroots came to prominence as a direct counter to Terry McAuliffe's transactional politics.

If you want to sell out for a pay check, do it. But Terry McAuliffe represents every single thing that the rise of the netroots was a response to.

So I'm going with Tongboy and if Nate wants to defend his coauthor, let him. But having somebody defend you doesn't mean you didn't fuck up by regurgitating McAuliffe's talking points.

Blogswarm, your comments haven't caused me to lower my opinion of Lowkell, rather they've caused me to lower my opinion of you.

Your comments to this post are a perfect example of how not to persuade people.  Indeed, I find myself wondering who you support, because your behavior reflects badly on them.
