    Congratz of the Rec list, and thanks for the honorable mention! I should have made time to drop in yesterday, but Sundays aren't my best day for hanging out on the comp.

    Well, this series cleared up a lot of things of which I was only partially aware. As you noted, I knew one of these gals, but I didn't know the problem was so widespread or devastating.

    But this certainly wasn't the first time people in "The Greatest Generation" were lied to about the stuff they were working around. My folks told me all kinds of stories about how things were back in their day. The scary thing is - I'm seeing the same sort of stuff going on now. What's different now though is that people are just so thankful to have a job, even if they know the dangers, they pooh-pooh them. That's gotta change.

    Looking forward to reading about your next subject... if for no other reason than most of the men in my family were in the construction trades.
