    So which moderates, exactly, is he selling down the river?

    I might find it amusing for Palin to run in 2012 because I think she will get about 35% of the vote. However, I speak entirely for myself not for "us." And in a certain sense I'm not sure if having a candidate from a supposedly major party show so badly is even in the best interest of a healthy democracy.

    As for what God's will might or might not have to do with any of this, I presume that to be a question for theologians, and not for politicians. To assume that ANY outcome of a political contest is or is not God's will is, IMHO, awfully presumptious. If God is omnipotent, then everything that happens is God's will; otherwise it is entirely up to us. Either way, invoking the will of God is simply a means of refusing to take responsibility for one's own opinions and actions. And hiding behind God is simply cowardice.
