    .. but I feel fine. (Thanks U2) The very short lifespan of human beings (even in relation to corporations) means that no matter what time a generation grows up in, as long as they have not been killed, people in that generation think everything is "normal". we don't carry a racial memory of previous experience. Children born in Europe during the Great Depression or at the outbreak of World War 2 had no idea that they were living in horrific times -- it was just "normal" to them.
    So when we come to a  world where cannibalism is rife, tribal group wages annihilation on tribal group, "iPod", "college" and "driving a car" become meaningless babble only old crazy people fixate on, those who are born into that world will think everythng is, if not fine, "normal". So nothing will be done to change it, and the new environment will move to fix a new equilibrium as to human population.
