  •  When did it become the sole responsibility... (4+ / 0-)

of liberal blogs to fund ANY candidates? Let someone else fund the blue dogs. Our money should go to progressives.

Why wouldn't we make progressive candidates the priority with our fundraising dollars?

I just don't think we should abandon seats to the GOP, especially not when it is an up-and-coming Dem.

Now Bayh and southern Blue Dogs in right-to-work states, that is another matter all together.

We should have two donation bars on the FP at all times, one for primaries against Dems, and one for General Elections vs GOPers

but, that is why this is a democratic process, therefore, I give my opinion, yet I respect those of others.

      Your thoughts?

Help phone bank for or donate to Scott Murphy for Congress! The election is 3/31/09. We can win this election or we can lose it. The choice is ours!

Chris Bowers at OpenLeft. His suggestion was limiting contributions to Democrats who explicitly rule out joining the blue dog caucus.

I think doing that will ensure good up and coming Democrats are not left behind. It will also, in my opinion, dissuade some new Democrats from considering the blue dogs as an option in the first place.
