Yes, Europe is in love with the American president but they will not do anything he is asking them to do, which pretty much means that he failed in his mission?

News flash:  There is a difference between "anything" and "everything.

They didn't do everything we wanted - quel surprise!  But they did go along with a lot, and we went along with some of what they wanted... what a crazy-assed notion for diplomacy.

You're spouting BS, pure and simple, and then calling us "touchy" when we point it out?  You're acting surprised when inflammatory words meet some resistance.

        •  If you read carefully, what I wrote was: (0+ / 0-)

Is it fair to summarize this trip the way most pundits and commentators are already starting to frame it: Yes, Europe is in love with the American president but they will not do anything he is asking them to do, which pretty much means that he failed in his mission?

It was a question. And I think I got my answer ( pretty rudely I might add).

If people were listening to pundits Obama would've had a popularity rating of 28%.

          •  Reason for rudeness is your reasoning is (0+ / 0-)

self righteously shallow and you're points have been disproven long ago. Reason for rudeness is your unwillingness to learn. And if you think these responses are rude, you've not looked at hidden comments here. Here you're getting a mild rebuke for writing shallow and poorly based rhetorical ignorance. Reread the site FAQ on diary writing. You're supposed to do research and back it up and provide links to your sources. Provide links to the politico and pundit articles you say formed your thinking.

            •  I see we're throwing in the big words uh? (0+ / 0-)

" Self Righteous", "shallow", "poorly based rethorical ignorance " ( Niiice one)... Listen ,just because you don't agree with the way I see things does not mean that my diary is all those things..
              We disagree. Simple.

              •  Those aren't big words, and we don't disagree. (0+ / 0-)

You're to obstinate to even understand simple information provided. I'm trying to help you understand the rules here for diary writing, but you don't care.

If you think shallow and the other examples you gave are big words, your best choice would be to take some college courses because they are only big words to folks with no education, they are normal words most folks use daily.

As to disagree/agree, that isn't even an issue. You're only saying that's what it is in order to avoid taking responsibility for your poorly thought out diary. I don't disagree, I am calling you out for your methodology in writing this which did not follow site rules. You don't even understand that. Consequently, by not listening to people's comments here and taking offense and being defensive, you lost the opportunity to learn something about how to write diaries that won't get you only mocking responses.

There's no disagreement here. There's you not knowing what you're doing and not following diary writing guidelines, and me and the others letting you know the diary failed.

Re-read the FAQ before you write your diaries, in fact those guidelines are even on the diary writing page for your convenience.

                Guideline #12 states:

Diarists are strongly encouraged to back up all assertions with facts (and preferably links to supporting materials) whenever possible. Use reputable sources whenever possible. If you can't find a reputable source that supports your position, then perhaps reconsider writing your diary.

Politico is not considered a completely reputable source here as it has been shown at times to be biased to the Right and factually wrong at times. But you could use Politico as long as you expressed skepticism and/or cited a reputable other source. This is probably all over your head, but I am trying to help you.

You mean us guys on Daily Kos?  Are you one of "you guys"?  If not, why are posting a diary?
