a democrat my whole life.  Mom & Dad took me to see
President John F. Kennedy when he was campaigning.
I was a little girl, but I was impressed.
I'm a social democrat too.  I also liked the Clintons and felt I was better off when they were in office.

I'm worried about the deficits, but I've read a lot about the Great Depression and I believe Roosevelt could never have gotten through the policy changes he did without the Depression.

Guys like Krugman feel President Obama is not spending enough.  They say that Roosevelt pulling back and trying to balance the budget after a few years made the depression last longer.  My Dad was a kid and the WPA and CC Corps helped him a lot because he lived in the city.  Mom, lived on a farm and they struggled, but they never had to stand in bread and soup lines, like my Dad did.
In my heart, I think Krugman is right.

I am a florist and I deliver flowers to a lot of very wealthy people. (I've actually delivered flowers to Mr. & Mrs. Laffer in the past)

I saw a house the other day, that just 8 years ago was the biggest most ostentatious home in our area.  Now, 8 years later, that same house is nothing special compared to all the other gynormous homes and estates that have sprung up.  I've seen with my own eyes the transfer of wealth and the dimishing of the middle class during my lifetime, but especially in the past 8 years.

President Obama was not my first choice.  I was luke warm about him when he was running.  I felt he was too centrist and we'd never get universal health care, which I feel very strongly that we need as a country.

I hope with all my heart that he will do the right thing by all the American People and that once again
our country will be the land of opportunity for all, not just a few.
