    ...the right-wing, fundatheoneo-racist-bigoted cons who have hijacked a once-honorable opposition party and are still holding it hostage. As the moderates, and even reasonable conservatives, continue to flee the party in droves, the right-wingers who still hold an inflexible ideological death grip on the party will soon become more of a minority.

    And sadly, more dangerous.

      who are willing to self-identify as "Republican" are the rump, and are increasingly those "right-wing, fundatheoneo-racist-bigoted cons who have hijacked a once-honorable opposition party and are still holding it hostage."

      There are fewer and fewer rational republicans, and more and more whackos.  The reasonable ones get ridiculed and have to apologize to Rush -- and they do it.
