    more.  Newer institutions don't have much endowment and are not depnedent on it.  My isntitition (about 55 years old) has a heavily tuition-driven revenue structure and is in great financial condition - we even get raises this year. The pain for us would come if student loan money dried up, but I think the Obama will keep that from happening.  The 135 year-old institution down the road is cash-strapped - not only no raises, but they can't even do their ususal spring planting of flowers on the campus.

    So I see only tatters of clearness through a pervading obscurity - Annie Dillard -6.88, -5.33
