Since I've been in that neighborhood.  I went occasionally when I was in college in Oregon and visited various bars in Seattle.

The thing that drove me crazy about Seattle bars of the time (and maybe now) was that the liquor control rules said that a bar had to serve a full menu of food at all hours.

So, you had a popular discotheque-style bar like Neighbors with a giant buffet/hot-table type set up with steaming food right next to the dance floor.  People actually ate it!

about the bar scene in Seattle I find weird, stupid or just downright unsettling. My biggest gripe when I first moved here was that the city rolled up the streets at 1:30 and the bars (like Linda's on Cap Hill) would kick you a=out at 1:45. Drove me nuts.
