    I see God as a metaphor for ethical principles that humans share which arise out of a profound and transcending mystery that goes beyond our ability to fully describe.  I might use the metaphor of "the Universe" or "all that is" instead.

    If those principles gravitate around the Golden Rule and our interconnection with nature I am inclined not quibble with the perceived source.
