      I just used it to describe a situation where an unfree people are exploited.  But I'm sure you'll join me in calling for independent labor unions in Cuba, right?  And a free press, and the freedomg to travel, and elections, and an end to the surveillance and imprisonment of dissidents, and...

        but the US does not. Your entire posts here imply some US interest in human and civil rights in the 3rd world. This has no basis in history, except as a weapon. See death squads in El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, operation Condor, coups in Chile and Brasil etc. Cuba has problems and is indeed in need of freedom and reform, but most 3rd world peasants would think they had died and went to heaven if they woke up in Cuba, especially those from our death squad central American puppets.
