    BTW, they also have a "Golden Eagle Pass" which gets you into all Nat'l parks and monuments, etc. for a year. Depending on where you live/are going, that might be a better value.

      all parks, monuments, and -- most important -- national forests.  It used to be that you'd buy one $50 pass for national parks, and at some point during a Republican administration that national forest people decided that we needed $30 Adventure Passes just to go for day hikes.  I don't mind giving money to the NPS, but the NFS is another story.  Anyway, it's all one pass now.
