    in which I was trying to say that it could be worse, that's all, given my admittedly limited scientific knowledge.

      However, I still submit that the name of the virus is unimportant.
      The combination of lethality and the modes of transmission are what make it dangerous.  Right now, H5N1 Avian Flu, for all its PR, is not very dangerous.  If an H1N1 mutated to have the "Mexican Flu" 8% lethality combined with easy H2H (human to human) transmission...Look Out World!
