    But I don't really think it's essential to watch the first few episodes. Not even close. I like the show, but so far this is turning out to be my least favorite, though I do see the potential. And the "mythology" is not so complicated that you really need to see all of them. (Show #6, the acclaimed "Man on the Street" is kind of the sixth episode of a series of quasi-pilots, though I'm also fond of the episode just prior to it.)

    Still, a bit disappointing if only because, as far as I was concerned, "Firefly" was great from it's (original) first episode on, though Buffy took more than a season to get great. (If you haven't watched "Buffy" that's the one to catch up on...don't let the title fool you.)

    Forward to Yesterday -- Reactionary aesthetics and liberal politics (in that order)
