    And it's going to be some form of EFCA-lite compromise he helps pass, with different protections for labor organizing that'll be some good, some bad.  Does labor accept half-a-loaf?

      I think that is exactly what will happen.

      Labor may not be overjoyed, but with stronger laws and Solis enforcing them in a real DOL, I think most will accept it. Chaging the legal playing field and with a President who actively supports unionization should help grow unions.

      That likely is the way it will play out.  Nelson, Lincoln and a few other Dems are weak on EFCA anyway, so Spector is not the one vote that makes a difference.  

      If he can help create the "compromise," he probably gets labor's support.  And if he gets that, he gets nominated and reelected.
