  •  I always love your diaries Al!!! (6+ / 0-)

It always makes my day! :-)

I am always so amazed at the history that we are living through. I don't think there is anyone out there who could have the intelligence, leadership, empathy, judgement, management capability, rationality, and energy like we have in President Obama, and what a wonderful partner he has in our First Lady.

The times that we are living through are calling for someone of his stature.

I honestly challenge anyone to think of someone who could have been elected with such qualities that deal with all the challenges we face.

I know that people have their favorites in their politicians based on issues, many still favor Howard Dean or Bernie Sanders, and I think they contribute in many good ways to the greater agenda. But quite frankly, they wouldn't necessarily be cut out to be President for the times that we are living in.

I voted for President Obama because I value his qualities and capabilities. And I will ultimately judge him on the results that he delivers. But just as we can't be impatient like stock investors demanding overnight results and performance, we have to judge him on long term results.

I still think the 100 days is a little silly, our problems are much bigger than something that can be done with a flick of a switch. Anyone who says that it's easy doesn't know what they are talking about, or has never implemented a major initiative. But still when we go back and consider everything President Obama has done it's just mind boggling.

I can understand President Clinton's jealousy, President Obama will certainly eclipse him in both vision and leadership.

I have people who work for me, but I rely on their capabilities and skills to handle what they were hired to do. I don't see the need to judge and micromanage everything. Will I step in with my input? Absolutely, but I won't fire them if they make a mistake or demand that they do everything my way.

The other thing I know is that, I try to give my team the big picture, and the end vision, and explain how their piece fits in the overall plan - Which is why I appreciate President Obama's ability to communicate with the public to explain why he thinks some things are important.
