because the majority of Americans are with us on single payer, would probably accept the public option, and the programs are easy to explain. Easier than Schumer's cock-eyed Compromise.

Medicare for all=everyone gets Medicare now, no waiting for 65.

Public option=your choice. Keep your present insurance or select Medicare now.

This is what the insurance funded senators fear - The People's Choice.

allow people to choose Medicare now.

Honestly, I wish people could understand the difference.

      •  It would if we made that the option. (2+ / 0-)

During the campaign, the idea was often mentioned to just issue everyone a Medicare card and convert everyone en masse to the public plan.

When we say Medicare for All, we don't mean in its current state. It would need adjusting, but it would be better than the mish-mash we have now.

Single-payer by any other name would smell as sweet.

        •  That's a terrible idea. (0+ / 0-)

You are talking about a plan that most people could not afford.

Are you aware that Medicare doesn't cover vision or dental? Or prescriptions?

We can create a GOOD plan. We shouldn't be screaming and asking for something that would screw people over.
