  •  Rubio is Ros-Lehtinen's Protege (0+ / 0-)

She has to support him.  Add to that, he's Cuban-American and shared ethnic "blood" is thicker than Florida Republican Party Leader water, if you're Amercuban.

If the NRSC backs the moves-to-the-left Crist (if and when he enters the race) will the tech-savvy uber-conservative Rubio be able to execute a Netroots coup, like Democrats have recnetly demonstrated their Netroots can do, and out fund raise the politically well-connected Crist?

This may be a seminal test of power in the state's party that could devolve to a test of the relative level of conservatism in it as well.  Should be an interesting primary.  Too bad I can't vote in it.

Further speculation. . .if Rubio should win the Republican primary (unlikely) and Crist should run as a Reborn Specter Democrat (just as unlikely), will Floridians elect Crist over the Traditional Democratic Candidate?

Looking at the field of choices, I'd bet yes.  So, should the Florida Democratic Party undertake to woo Governor Crist like Biden seduced Specter?

Place your bets in a comment.
