Amber, use some cold/hot packs to ease the pain.

If you missed the pickup, and know when your postal carrier usually arrives in your neighborhood, either leave the bag out on Monday, or ask her/him if they can still take your donation. Last spring I spaced the donation day, but my USPS guy took it on Monday, saying they still had plenty of sorting to do and would add my donations to the pile. (Don't know how it worked elsewhere, but here volunteers from the USPS helped sort the donations for the food bank).

And thanks for the reminder that today was the USPS food drive folks, I stumbled away from the computer insufficiently caffeinated, to finish the loading of the donation bag I'd started yesterday and got it out by our mail box. Good thing there's plenty of cans in the bag; at 11am the winds are already blowing hard and dry.

of leaving it out on Monday, or even taking the cans to a local branch on Monday.  We also have a lot of wind today.
I think there is no permanent damage to my arm or hip, but I am still picking little bits of stuff out of my skin, shirt and hair.  Well, it may make a great story.
