    difference is really noticable. I haven't cooked with a non free-range organic egg in a long time.

    •  We were recently staying in Paris for a few days (4+ / 0-)

      and the eggs from the urban, neighbourhood produce shop were free range and the tastiest I have had in years. Even my granddaughter noticed and said "yum, these are extra good!"
      We buy free range eggs here in the UK when we can get 'em but I am suspicious about some we have bought, they taste and look no different from "barn eggs" (the "barn" in that name is just a big old egg farm, not the little red barn of yore).
      I would keep chickens if I could. Some people do out where my allotment garden is and they're great, there are some just around the corner as well.
