  •  I'm black - and in my tree are Norwegian, Mohawk (7+ / 0-)

French, Dutch, English, Senegalese, Congolese, German, and Irish ancestors.

Religions are Bahai, Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Africa and Native American traditional.

My husband is a black Puerto Rican with an East Indian (New Delhi) grandfather, Irish great grand mother... and Spanish forced converts from Judaism to the RC church.

I assign all my students to do a family history tree each semester, to promote exactly what you are discussing here.

    Tipped and rec'ed.
