  •  thanks (0+ / 0-)

I also like the listener sponsored model bc if they do what Air America has done and put lousy shows on the air, we can personally send them a message by yanking their funding away :) Gives us more control over keeping the shows we like on the air.

I wrote a book! You should buy it!

    •  I always though AAR biggest problem was that... (1+ / 0-)

      Jill Richardson wasn't liberal enough.

Sure, at launch here in the NY metro area, the lineup included Randi, Rachel, and some other good voices, but over time they were run out, and we started getting crap.

More importantly though, it seemed to me like AAR never made much effort to engage the wider liberal media that was growing at the time (I speak on this as a total layman, so I'm happy to be corrected if my facts are wrong).  It struck me as a very Web 1.0 approach.

Putting liberals who aren't afraid of being liberals on the air seems like a recipe for success if you're targeting a, gasp, liberal audience.

Oh well, AAR dies, something new will take it's place.  Best of luck!

Dear Mr. President, There are too many states nowadays. Please eliminate three.
      P.S. I am not a crackpot.
