    I would add one thing. Regarding the canadians who complain about their knees, they can do as those in the U.S. do and go to a private clinic and pay with their private money or use private insurance if they want faster service. Its a little known fact that although canadians enjoy public health insurance they also have the freedom to get private care if they want it or can afford it.

      There's even private insurance available there for elective procedures.  

      But everyone has the same ground level basic coverage.  Wouldn't that be a wonderful thing for all of us?

      point -- and all engaged progressives in the US should be lining up their talking points, whether they're aimed at friends and neighbors, letters to the editor, calls to Congresscritters, discussions in comment sections on the news shows, or whatever.
