    If Dem party hurt by 2009 gov race, then I am fearful of its impact on the Congressional races in VA that are on the bubble.

      Republicans to the House. That doesn't make that region not liberal. I don't think you can conclude all that much from House races.

      They tortured people to get false confessions to fraudulently justify our invading Iraq.

        seats, not all of which are from NVA.  Again what I fear is that a McAulife primary win and then loss for VA gov seat will not only have an immediate effect --- the loss of the gov seat --- but could potentially set back the decades worth of rebranding the VA Dem party has up til now successfully engaged in, a rebranding effort that I believe contributed in some measure to Obama winning VA last year.
