    at the thought of government expertise in much of anything that isn't government.

    What, for example, qualifies people in government as experts in the design, manufacture, and sale of cars?

    Names like Skoda, Trabant, and Wartburg come to mind, not to mention many a shoddy fiat and Renault in the bad old days.

    Hmmm.  Maybe the government can take over Intel.  Maybe, after deciding that it's unfair for some people to get dual or four core CPUs, they can standardize on a completely fair one core job, one that levels the playing field.  They can call it the 8088.

    Free speech? Yeah, I've heard of that. Have you?
