    as being a huge boon to rural riders in the state. Yes, they will drive to the train station - and from there they can be whisked to downtowns in LA and San Francisco and Sacramento, where they can go to museums, the airport, the capitol, attractions, and the like, in areas well-served by transit, while still living far from everywhere.

    I think many people would LIKE to change where they live. I don't think people like living 45 minutes away from work in heavy traffic. Many people would like to live in a place where they can travel by train.

    But beyond that, the more people choose to take the train, the more highway space there is for the people who don't. And that's a good thing.
