  •  Welcome to Daily Kos, Gov. Corzine! (4+ / 0-)

I've enjoyed your presence on BlueJersey and I am continually impressed with your sincere interaction with the progressive community and blogosphere.  You even answered one of my questions when you asked for some feedback a couple of months ago on the NJ State Budget, so thank you for that.

We're going to need to bust our behinds to get this one.  I think we will prevail based on Corzine's record and the awful and deleterious proposals of both of your Republican opponents.  But we need to build that contrast.  This takes myself and all of us here at DailyKos and BlueJersey to get the word out.

In terms of where to get additional voters, my fellow college students at Rutgers rallied overwhelmingly behind Barack Obama in his campaign to become President.  Rutgers, along with all of the public and private schools in New Jersey, are overwhelmingly Democratic.  But continued budget cuts to higher education has your name treated as a curse word.

I understand the need for across the board cuts, but I would suggest acknowledging even more the benefits that New Jersey's colleges provide for our intellectual acumen and state economy.  You can solidify these thousands of voters in your column, and that could be an extra safeguard.

I will be on your side and help with campaigning for you.  Our amazing user clammyc lives literally next door to me, so we'll be working for you this summer and fall!

Thanks again and keep visiting here and BlueJersey!
