  •  Dude that's why they went bankrupt. (0+ / 0-)

Detroit made Shitty products, and it drove them out of business.

I'm sorry, but now that they are bankrupt, it's just another lost claim.

How do you think the people who lent the firm money feel?

    •  No. (5+ / 0-)

Detroit made crap products thirty years ago, and have been paying the price ever since. The bankruptcy was due to a market downturn when both companies were in the middle of a major restructuring. GM was attempting to turn around an entire line (in a bad way, imho, but that's for the experts to decide), and Chrysler had just broken free of the Daimler ownership that cost them good will, quality, and competitiveness of their vehicles. When you're almost broke and trying to rebuild your company without bankruptcy, and then the banks stop accepting loans for a few months and consumer spending power goes in the toilet, what do you suppose happens?

      •  from crap to mediocre? (0+ / 0-)

the products of today are C grade products.

well glad you realize chrysler lost quality.

but all that happens because you make shitty products.

the japanese grind out a new model in a year, detroit in 3, and you
        wonder why they were screwed?
