who can marry and serve in the military as he chooses, you need to see reality. This will not happen without a solid groundwork laid. It will be a tough fight no matter when it happens but action needs to start now for their to be future success.

Um, I have called my senators and congressmen. I have given to Equality California. I have written dozens of letters, including to the Whitehouse. I have written letters to the military, I have spoken to members of the military. I've done a lot.
What have you done but tell all the silly faggots to shut up and go to the back of the bus?

Until Obama does something tangible for the GLBT community, beyond pretty speeches, he is just "All-Talk Barack"

    •  where did you get the idea that i am straight? (0+ / 0-)

i live in the real world, as a gay and minority, i realize that as a minority i am used as a chess piece. it did not start now and it is not going to end now.

i know when to strike and when not to. i realize the time is not right now and will not give the republicans ammunition to strike. i will give him  till next year before i start threatening to commit suicide.

what did you think was going to happen, obama rolls in and the next day gay marriage is legal and all is well? COME BACK TO THE REAL WORLD PEOPLE.

      •  I think Obama needs to start small (0+ / 0-)

but real and concrete actions NOW for there to be real results in a could of years. How is this "out of the real world"? And bullshit, it's not about the "next day" - it's about doing something now to have results in a few years.

      •  actually you are the crowd of (0+ / 0-)

black folk who in the 1950s told Martin Luther King that he was living in a fantasy world. There will always be people like you within a minority group. It's called identity projection. you accept the dominant views of the majority because you are not capable of resisting them long enough to think fo ryourself.
