  •  People know of your "concerns" (did I do that (0+ / 0-)

right?) and really want people to know that we're working our asses off all over DC these days.  We can't help everyone at once, no matter what we'd like to do.

As for your position that I cannot do both at once, that I cannot understand the fact that our nation's leadership is literally triaging our national priorities while at the same time supporting protests to rally public support, I don't understand where you get that.

But the problem is that I don't see it. I have no idea what anybody is doing to actually get something done about DADT. Nobody is communicating with us or letting us know what is going on. All we are hearing is Gates saying that we have to kick the can down the road and Congress saying DADT will not be on their agenda until 2012. And "we can't" is a copout. We did not become the country we are by "we can't." If you want to fit in here, I suggest you drop that term from your vocabulary. And if our Congresspeople can't do it, then they can find another line of work.

      •  Well, if you're an example of the personality (0+ / 0-)

required to fit in here, I'd rather be a pariah.

you avoid the quesiton being raised as the hope becomes more precise. And at the end you do what most of the extremist supporters of Obama do. They demonize the questioners when they can not longer defends the congintive dissonance of what they are saying. You are trying to usurp the machinary and language of progressivism, but it's very Orwellian- because substantively you are not actuallly advocating any action at all. Notice here- all hope is asking for is some kind of timetable. You can't even discuss that without demonizing the questioner for daring to ask that question.
