I'm just saying that its amusing to see that he's having many of the same problems (administratively) Clinton did because he has the same folks...

    •  What administrative problems is Obama having? (8+ / 0-)

If there are any, it's a lot of growing pains involved with running a country, not the chaotic disorganization of Clinton's first year. Even the tax problems of some of his appts blew over pretty quickly. Otherwise, it seems like a pretty smooth machine, all things considered.

      •  He still is missing a lot of subcabinet folks (3+ / 0-)

Like the head of the federal procurement office (which does all the contracting) and its NOT that the Repubs are blocking them, he simply hasn't appointed them...

        •  A lot of that isn't because of Clinton era folks (6+ / 0-)

It's because of how badly they got burned with some of the tax problems early on, and their pledge to get people who don't have skeletons. Candidates are run through the wringer now. Sotomayor was only appointed so fast because they started working on the SCOTUS stuff even before he won the election.

There is a downside with trying to get people with squeaky clean records: it takes time to find them.

other than some tax problems early on it has been smooth sailing so far. Clinton , summers and all the big egos in  there are working remarkably well together IMO. no drama between them, and that fits the mantra doesn't it.

Obama deserves a lot of the credit for running so many big ego's so smoothly so far.
