    He basically did subsistence farming for his family, not large-scale production, so I imagine that his pesticide and herbicide exposure was not quite as high as a typical commercial farmer, but who knows.

    We're all really hoping that the regeneration continues, but failing that, we're still hoping for a transplant. He could take part of one of his siblings' livers, but doesn't want to. Apparently the risk of death to the donor is much higher than that for the recipient in partial liver transplants, and he doesn't think he could live with himself if anything happened to one of the others as a result.
