    can cause ulcers and other GI effects. They can also raise blood pressure and in susceptible individuals can have effects on the kidneys, although that's rare.

    It's important to always look at the labels of drugs and know the generic name. There are lots of brand names for ibuprofen (Advil, Nuprin, Motrin, others) and for naproxen (Alleve is most common but there are others, too.) These drugs can also be found in combination OTC meds.
