  •  Letterman screwed up. (8+ / 0-)

But not in the way Palin says he did.

He or his writers should have known which daughter was at the ballpark. OR Dave's mea culpa should have noted that he didn't do his fact-checking.

Had Bristol been at the would have been funny. Mean, but funny.

/and now i'll get off my soapbox

It's always darkest before the dawn.

I simply do not see any humor in Letterman's so-called "joke".  An ugly and vicious smear aimed at a 14yr old girl is pathetic.  The same remark aimed at an 18yr old girl is no better.

I wish that Keith Olbermann had not been so quick to side with David on this one.  Ugly and sexist remarks should simply be called what they are: anti-woman.

On the other hand, maybe I'm just no fun anymore. So to be fair, can anyone tell me what was so knee-slapping and side-splitting hilarious about Letterman's "joke"?

that he may have gone A BIT far involving the kids, but the joke was not about Willow. And, the issue is the reaction from the Palin family. They actually had a bit - a bit - of "moral high ground" as long as they'd kept their reaction to "a late - night talk show guy shouldn't have made a joke about my kids" realm. But, as usual, they had to push it and push it and PUSH IT to further expose & exploit their kids for their own personal & political gains by introducing the whole culture war anti - entertainment shtick.

On behalf of my entire state, I apologize for Evan Bayh!
