    but our cultural understanding of it's acceptability has changed. That is what I think must happen with sexual slurs. It is realistic, because it has happened before. What must change is our willingness to address the behavior each time we encounter it.

      I believe that kids do get confused by listening to certain music, comedians, or just two adults talking to each other. You can have two gay adults joking with each other and one calls the other on a big F****t or call each other queer. Same with two black adults calling one another my n****a. Kids pick that up and they emulate it until someone explains why it's wrong to use those words in any situation.
