even giving lip service to Keynes. A lot of us were talking like that before we saw who he appointed and what they've done. They speak the language of Robert Rubin. The economy exists to maximize returns in the bond market. Shut up and starve. Jesus wept.

    •  Stimulus (0+ / 0-)

violates Keynes.  It is supposed to be income into the pockets of the domestic citizenry, i.e. Americans when utilizing domestic government expenditures to temporarily stimulate the economy.  It's right there in the theory and the equations.

So we have green jobs being created...overseas....

and this report is truly scary, Stimulus a Farce - Swank Enterprises.  The Stimulus contract award system is the same as the one to award no bid contractors huge money in Iraq and it squeezes out smaller companies, esp. local companies...the Stimulus, divided up by states, was supposed to target regional and local economies.

and laying off staff while stimulus money is spent on highway projects. The Congress insisted that the projects be "sensible". When Keynes was asked what kind of spending would be stimulative he responded that it would be sensible to pay one group of men to bury money and a second group to dig it up.
