  •  Calls To The White House (20+ / 0-)

I read on another diary that calls to the WH are running 75% against public option.

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? They have time and energy to be compelled to push for people to DIE rather than give up their shitty negativity and let decency prevail?

I've been in tears for the last half hour reading these diaries. I can't stand it any more that we've become a nation of the heartless, cruel few taking pleasure in damaging the rest of us, brutally not caring that their dogma is killing people.

    I weep.

    •  Of course they have the time (4+ / 0-)

They're retired. And they have Medicare. You know, that govt funded, nobody can be turned down, covers just about everything, SINGLE PAYER system? The one that they don't want anybody else to have, but god help you if you try to take it away from them?

      That's who's calling.

      •  Fuck those ignorant people! (1+ / 0-)

Are they that mentally deficient that they understand what freaking hypocrites they are?? I'd like to have each and every one of those imbeciles sit down and read the stories that are posted here. As HUMAN BEINGS, could they actually sit there and say, "sucks to be you, not my problem!" after reading some of the sad stories posted here, all while they have the same GOVERNMENT FUNDED healthcare that they are calling Obama to rail against?? What I really don't get, is that I saw some poll that said that like 79% of Americans are for the public option, and that was a recent one. If that is so, where the hell are these people coming from??

are never representative of the population at large. Someone's gotten a successful phone campaign going. The Republicans have been very good at this sort of thing for 25 years now. And there is no reason to think these are retirees.

      •  Do you have any evidence of this? (0+ / 0-)

or are you just making things up?

        •  Past history of Repub phone dirty tricks (0+ / 0-)

started with Nixon, I believe.  On the Checkers speech in the 1950s Nixon's cronies had ringers send telegrams either to the White House (Eisenhower) or to the RNC and Eisenhower kept him on despite evidence of a slush fund.

          Sorry, I don't date Republicans.

          •  My question (0+ / 0-)

concerned the claim that the people calling the WH and Congress are senior citizens.

            •  Senior citizens are covered by Medicare already (0+ / 0-)

and get perfectly decent health care coverage so that claim makes no sense to me. Sorry I misunderstood.

Republican = Someone who sees no problem believing in the free market theory but denies evolution because it's just a theory.
