Governor level more than the federal level if you ask me.
We need enough Dems in the legislature to break the 2/3 majority deadlock that we have now. And we need a democrat seated as Governor.

Then maybe we can fix the state budget and finally get passed and signed SB-840 (or what ever it is called today) for single-payer.

I guarantee if we can do the stuff listed above we won't have any problem getting people elected at the Federal level.

that he's not ready for prime time: self-centered, flighty, very shallow on progressive issues, already deserting S.F.'s needs to campaign for Governor...
But he's going to get a lot of traction by emphasizing his youth, against Geriatric Gerry Brown, and basically running a shallow glitzy campaign.
We need someone better than either of them, and for some reason I find myself thinking we really need a progressive woman, someone no-nonsense out of Southern California or the San Joaquin, who's experienced in state politics but not beholden to agriculture, big business, OR unions (but union-friendly). Just my $.02

Some days I like Gavin, but in desperate economic times, somebody who is willing to preserve five highly paid people in his press office is frankly unacceptable.

And as much as I love Jerry Brown, he's a booster for the barbaric California prison-industrial system.

Of course I'll campaign without reservation for either of them against eMeg or the other hacks, but both Brown and Newsom need to stand up now on the budget.

No Real Housewives, but plenty of action at Orange County Progressive Come for the politics. Stay for dessert.

He decided to play it safe and run for congress. Not sure if there is anybody else that I'd enthusiastically vote for in all honestly.

And please not Westly. He is just eMeg with a dick if you ask me.
