  •  Why is Sanford's infidelity worthy of resigning (5+ / 0-)

from a political position but not an elected position?

Is the Republican Party so sacred that it can't and won't tolerate an adulterer holding an executive position?

Both Ensign and Sanford IMMEDIATELY resigned their Republican political roles.  Why?  If they're to be forgiven by their religious supporters, why resign from anything?

So an adulterer can still be a governor or a senator, but not be the head of the Republican Governors Association or Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee.  That speaks volumes.

(I already know the answer to my questions, but why isn't any reporter or journalist asking those questions?)

Joe Scarborough... sleeper 2012 Republican Presidential candidate. Or he's shooting for the VP prize. Either way, he's still a snake in the grass.
