A fraction of a fraction of gay activists on the East Coast. Ah well.
Y'all's representin' your tiny constituency and that's the American way. But this is Stonewall weekend and it would be nice if we were feeling united and hopeful.

You might want to go back to AmericaBlog and the usual 15 commenters there and suggest that chronic belligerents usually don't get much of what they want because somehow they're always pissed off at the wrong people.

Together with the many people who pulled out (including Dr. Dean, HRC, etc.), I think we managed to send a message.

I often got called some thing along the lines of belligerent when I happened to knock on the wrong doors when I was campaigning for Obama most of last year.    That actually got me what I wanted, so why shouldn't I take Obama at his word and continue to fight for a cause that affects my family?  And if it means letting the DNC know that I'm not standing in the back of their bus, so be it.

the folks who are not really concerned with this issue only want the 'gates crashed' at the doors of institutions they don't agree with.  Apparently they think that action  for a cause that enraged so many, and was supported by so many big name contributors and scheduled attendees to the point that they pulled from the event isn't 'proper'.

Wish I could have been there with you all.

In honor of the Obama Administration's actions on GLBT issues during Pride month, Pride 2009 is proclaimed "Back of the Bus Pride Month".!
