    The diary does seem to conflate white privilege with class privilege. The specific privilege of buying a legacy admission is unavailable to white people of any class except the economic elite --- what we used to call the "ruling class."

    That's not an argument against affirmative action, nor does it mean that white people who can't have legacy admissions bought for them are discriminated against by affirmative action.

      White legacies, of every class, are far more prevalent at colleges and universities, whether Ivy league or State universities.
