Al Jazeera always spins their "stories" according to their agenda, which is an anti-US and anti-Israel agenda.

For example, there was a time that whenever they needed to show a stock photo of President Obama, out of the thousands available, they'd likely choose the one with him wearing a yamika while visiting Israel, to paint him in the worst possible light to Arabs.
Another example: Their coverage of Israel's Gaza military operation was totally one-sided, hardly mentioning the rockets that Hamaas fired into Israel for months.  In fact, most of their coverage was just showing injured bodies and destroyed property, with no commentary at all, which removes context from the entire thing, so all the viewer sees is unexplained horror.  They could've portrayed the horrors that the Gazans went through and still supplied context, but chose not to.

Al Jazeera is like Fox News, and I accord them an equal level of credence.  They have an agenda, and will always spin their stories to service that agenda, including exaggerations, telling only one side, etc.  I'm sure there's some truth in this particular story, but I'm also sure that Al Jazeera didn't report it straight up, that's for certain.

or the freaking TBN showing missionaries proselytizing. This is bad, even if it happens once.

Al Jazeera is actually highly critical of many issues that have popular support in the Arab world. Outside of the US (and, to some extent, Britain) they are actually recognized as being relatively even-handed on many issues.

It just so happens that our media has an agenda, too, and I'm not just talking about Fox News. But as noted, this story has been covered in our media. We just don't have a single source that is as dominant as Al Jazeera is. But the fact that it took this long for the story to hit Newsweek is a pretty good indication of how our media is also affected by politics.

And, btw, there were a lot of other news sources that focused on the destruction in Gaza, too. Including some European sources.

Your beliefs are false.   Totally false.  Please try to provide evidence.

At this point of time the most probable accurate sources are probably Al Jazzera, BBC, A(ustralian)BC and a few others, but that is the order I think.

Comparing AL Jazeera to Fox is patently ridiculous.
