We keep close eyes on the weather forecasts, especially the "probability of precipitation." In normal times, "30% chance of rain" means "no useful rain."

This past month, "10% chance of rain" translated to "thunderstorms will arrive within 15 minutes of Mrs. Seaview making any preparations for painting." She even tried rushing home from work when the regional radar showed absolutely no rain... only to find that storms can appear out of nowhere.

The karmic payback: she works for the power generation department of the aforementioned electric company. They have already been informed that, if profits don't improve amazingly (read: an extremely hot summer), there will be no bonuses next spring. We stand to lose about $7500.

Fox is not "News" ...so why do our cable companies carry it?

      yesh.
      that was me too.
i could not believe how many times i was checking accuweather dot com throughout the day to check for one thing.
      the probability of rain.
something i never ever bothered to look at.
so i'm like "please god, make it ten or twenty, hell i'll even take thirty."
so all day on some of those days?
      sun in and out.
      black clouds. then sun.
      black clouds. more sun.
five oclock approaches...no rain in site.
i run to the parking deck, speed out.
      and BOOM.
pouring monsoon one mile from work.
      sigh.
      so this made me laugh.

She even tried rushing home from work when the regional radar showed absolutely no rain... only to find that storms can appear out of nowhere.

      so you save the planet?
      and get no bonus.
      the ying.
      the yang.
      sigh.

"Oh no...you changed your hair color? It's just so dark. You like it? And with your skin tone?" My Beloved Mom, December 25 2007, once again on notice.
