and said I'd created a pile of three boxes of mac system 6 thru  os 9 books and was going to put them in his car for him..as a joke...but he thought that was great.
And I have begun to sort the rest of my books, I aim to reduce to about 20% of my life collection, there's lots of stuff I'm not attached to anymore, maybe I had a stroke or something cause I've always collected books, and still do, but now I'm making harsher choices or something. Lots of good stuff, but just don't want them. The GK Chesterton collection and PG Woodhouse stays!
My SO and I are clearing out a sister's house for her, a willing intervention, and it's been a shock and a wake up.
Reducing tonnage, recycling and regifting so far...plus three expired relatives collections, mas yikes....lots to sort.
We talked about trying amazon or ebay to sell the cooler books we want to move, but really doubtful that will be very helpful. Also freecycle and the local used book sellers...I'll probably come home with more!

In 2002, the USFS spent $36 million on its Tongass timber sales program, and rec'd back just $1.2 million from timber companies.

        I fear P.G.Wodehouse is to...

No, I can't say it. It would be too cruel. Especially on Alaskan Freedom Day.

(New holiday, I just invented it an hour ago.)

          Also: no friggin' news yet.

But the book I'm working on really gets moving at around 50,000 words.

work of fiction to date, "The Epi-Epilogue: Five Years Even Later", about Harry's, Ron's and Hermione's divorces.

            * "First, in Rowling's universe, everyone ends up with their first real love, and I mean everyone."

My sibs and I have ranted about this endlessly. I calls it irresponsible, when you have the ear of nearly the entire literate juvenile poplulation of the world.

it doesn't go far enough. It is particularly heinous, I think, given that Ms. Rowling herself married young and divorced instantly.

I'm actually surprised by how much sex one can get away with in the kiddylit world-- and it is necessary if you want your characters to make sense.

'well, of course they can't have the slightest iota of a sexual nature, it's a children's book!' It's like either it's porn or sexless, there's no middle way.

sex in the Potterverse, but it's all contained within marriages contracted at age 20 by people who met as teenagers. It's... weird.

                And socially irresponsible.
