    to your plans to talk about constructive and practical matters so you can prompt a reasonable discussion. There is a school of thought that believes incremental change is not worth it, but it is a pile of incremental changes that eventually creates a tipping point so big change happens. Berating a Senator is not furthering the cause in my opinion. It can be satisfying, but it just shuts down dialogue.

    I want immediate change to bring down greenhouse gases too, but it's harder than snapping one's fingers. For instance, I hate that coal is getting so much in subsidies etc., but I wonder who here would like to close down the economies in coal-dominated states while the possibility of a world-wide depression still threatens? These are not easy issues, and a black and white attitude is not helpful.
