    However the diary was deceptive.  It implied that the constitution had been overriden and that basic rights taken away.  It did not imply that a part of the constitution (article 187) had been activated.  In fact the diary said: But the coup leaders the Oligarch Diaspora defends just rewrote that same constitution today without any formal process of consulting the people at all.

    In doing some research I noticed that the suspension of the listed articles was explicitly provided for in situations of unrest.  Since that seemed different from the situation as described in the diary, I thought it worth mentioning.

    Should they have done so? I don't really know the situation there. I do think that it's not an unusual action to institute a nighttime curfew in areas of unrest.
